Our Family! The Teenage years!

You may ask, "Attitude Years", isn't that kind of rude? For those of you with Teenagers, you understand. With Teenagers, it is full of excitment, emotion, weird changes in personalty and body(scary) and watching them grow in the Lord. We as parents need help because if it was up to us we would fail. Thanks to God that he is with us and trainging us to make as few mistakes as possible. Please pray for us!

Ok Prayer Warriors,
Thanks to all of you for being faithful. We are trusting and believing that the Doctors made a mistake with the MRI yesterday and that there is nothing wrong with Mya. We want to now ask all of you to agree with our family in prayer that Mya will have the option to be moved to the Fraser Valley hospital in Abbotsford and we want to pray and believe for that to happen even as early as Monday sometime. Further to that we want to pray and believe for Mya to be home by Christmas at the latest. God is good and faithful and he will protect Mya from all the incompetence out there in the hospitals but it is for the sake of Sarah and Tom that we are believing and praying for this. This would require a miracle that is beyond what the doctors or man would be able to do, thus giving God even more Glory and Honor.
Do all of you agree?

Thank you so much for having your blog set up with updates and prayer requests for Mya. Tom and I have definetly felt the prayers for peace (even though this all gets to be way to much and we feel like the tears may never stop). It is incredible just how many prayers are being sent on Mya's behalf and Tom and I feel very blessed that so many feel so much love and concern for our baby girl! Please pray for Alex as well and for him to know and feel that he is just as special and important to us as always. He needed some time just to have a regular day at home, so Tom went into the hospital and Alex and I are hanging out together - we both really needed this day together.

Thank you again to everyone for the continuned prayers. I am feeling stronger today than I was yesterday about the fact that God is indeed so much bigger, stronger and infinetly more powerful than any of the doctors and he will see Mya through this. It is an extreme challenge for me to remind myself of this - so everytime someone can tell me that the better!

Love Sarah

Wow! What a roller coaster ride of emotions over the last few weeks...I am a very good ( i hope) friend of Sarah's. I have been overwhelmed with how things have transpired over the last few days and as everyone I am sure can understand have gone through my own feelings of anger and questions of how unfair life is. However as I was talking to Sarah tonight I had an overwhelming peace that Mya really is in God's hands. It is amazing how a human life is formed and created and how an entire life is planned long before we can even fathom the thought of the child. It is human nature to stress and worry but incredibly comforting to remember HE is in control and Mya's little life has all ready been planned out long before we got any of this news. She is truly a MIRACLE all ready. God deserves the glory for that right now. It was just a short time ago we werent even sure she would survive past her first few breaths and now her she is 1 Week old and hanging on. Doctors have to provide us medical science GOD doenst fit into that equation but we all know different. It is simply amazing to think about how many hundreds perhaps thousands of people know her story and are backing her, Tom and Sarah and Alex along with the rest of the family. Imagine a wee 1 week old having affected soo many people in such a short amount of time. It is in our selfishness of human nature that we think we are here on this earth to carry out our own dreams and desires. But God is the bug picture and if just one soul is saved or affected her life has not been in vain no matter what happens. I believe we need to apply the blood of Jesus to this little life and trust in Him to find peace to carrry all of the family through this journey. Mya is an angel sent from Heaven with a purpose and she is still here fighting and we need to fight just as hard as see is and NEVER give up hope. I pray that we will all find comfort and peace in her Maker!!

Thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by this precious little miracle...MYA

Love Stacey

Dear Lord,

We know how precious eacb one of your children are to YOu and Jesus we just pray that you would reach down from Heaven with your mighty hand and place it upon Alex. Lord he is bound to feel the upheavel right now but You can protect his spirit and mind, Lord. It is an honor for him to be a big brother and we pray that he will have a chance to play with Mya and relate with her as a sibling. We believe that you can protect him and fill him with the unconditional love you give to each one of us. Help him to feel just as special to his Mom and Dad as he always has. I pray that he will still have the ability to exress himself and know that none of this is his fault. May he find comfort in knowing his sister is a miracle and has a purpose she is fullfilling here on earth. Thank you for helping the family through this crisis and may everyone come out of it stronger and more on fire for YOU.

In Jesus precious name AMen

Yes, we are in total agreement that God will heal Mya completely as He has made her in His image. May He grant her a transfer to FV Regional Hospital as soon as possible so she can have a fresh start out there without cover-ups and embarrassment by the staff. We believe that God has amazing plans for Mya, Alex Sarah & Tom and that their testimony through this will glorify the Name of the Lord. Ed & Bev Friesen.

The staff & pastors at the White Rock Baptist Church prayed this prayer for Mya and her family on Thursday. I thought I would repeat it here: "Lord, You are mighty & powerful. You are able to heal completely. You are a God of miracles. We lift up baby Mya to You and ask You to make her totally healthy. Please arise and do a mighty miracle, that many may see & glorify You! May many come to know You as Lord & Saviour through this difficult situation. Be glorified, Lord. Please comfort Mya, her parents, her grandparents, her brother, and the extended family. Please be with them, filling them with Your Peace. Wrap Your arms around them and fill them with Your thoughts, that You are there and You are in control and they can trust You. Draw them all to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen." Mya's Oma & Opa.
