Hello All, We wanted to share our Christmas miracle with you - God has chosen this time in our lives to teach us a whole lot of lessons in faith, patience, prayer, more patience, trust, love, hope ....... and forgiveness. Every time we look at Mya we are filled with hope, God has given us that peace to know that the human diagnosis of what she may or may not be capable of is so insignificant in comparison to his healing power and we SHOUT our praises to him. All we can say is GOD YOU ARE AWESOME!! He has kept our family together and made us stronger through this and has given us so many blessings along the way.........all of you out there who have been dedicated in praying for Mya and us have been a tremendous support and we have felt that comfort all along this journey. We don't know when we may see the end of the NICU and are just celebrating every new achievement that Mya has and have learnt to find the full enjoyment in the little things like our cuddle times, giving baths, getting her dressed, singing her lullabies and watching the incredible tenderness between Alex & Mya as he kisses her forehead and tells her he loves her. It is such a privilege and honour to be parents and so often we have had special moments and haven't stopped to really appreciate them.......through this experience we have stopped to see how precious our children are and it isn't about what we can buy them, how organized our lives are or how many events we have this season - it is about savouring those everyday moments and seeing them for the gifts that they are. God is so great and we hope that everyone can feel the magnitude of his love this Christmas as we have and even though it won't be a "traditional" celebration for us this year, Tom, Alex, Mya and I will be together and that is what we will treasure.
